I like finding new supermarkets. This past weekend I went to the mecca of all supermarkets Wegmans. I as many of us bloggers probably have first heard of Wegmans through Jenny's blog. And it totally lives up to all of her descriptions of it. It's fantastic! I researched and saw there was one not too far from me. Ok it was in New Jersey but it was only forty minutes away. The store was set up so beautifully. Each section was so distinct. Their candy section is a wonderland. Vats of all different kinds of candy. They also have the largest fruit and veggie section I have ever seen in a supermarket. There is also a little room you can drop off your kids and a few of their workers will watch them while you shop. Wegmans also has a little cafe where you can choose from a variety of dining options. If you can get to a Wegmans one day I do recommend it. Pictures here.

Yeah, I'd seen Wegman's on Jenny's site and had looked for one a long time ago. They're only on the East coast, though. BOO! Oh well, someday.

Yes someday Jess keep the hope alive! LOL!

I was looking for Mars bars Amanda and they didn't have any so I didn't buy any candy. Pooh.

You have so many cool things on the West coast though Yvett:)

I love love love my Wegmans! It opened up in June right near my work (and close to where I live now) and I can't get enough of it.

Are you willing to travel 80 miles roundtrip to grocery shop each week? ;)

No just wanted to see if all the talk was true and it so was.

Ha! I learned about Wegmans from ljc too! I'm envious that you've been to one. A trip to one will be my goal for the next time I'm in the US, having crossed Trader Joe's off my list in March!

It can be on your list of places to visit when you come up North one day Jessica:)

Isn't Trader Joe's great Laura! Yes try to get to a Wegmans the next time you cross the border. Heh heh.

Wegman's is the BEST! It was ranked #1 by Consumer Reports this month. Trader Joe's was #2. I think that I could live without Trader Joe's if I had a Wegman's. No Wegman's near me, though. :( I only know about it from going to the one in my DH's hometown.

I'd like to have both. I can see the need for both supermarkets.
