Yesterday was a nice day. We went ice skating at Rockefeller Center. Ok Niel did some ice skating and I held on for dear life to the sides. It was not as difficult as I though to walk with skates on outside of the rink but man I would not let go for dear life on the actual ice. It was my first time trying. So many firsts with Niel. I am a very lucky girl. It's silly but I think anytime I am going to try something new I am going to be able to accomplish it at first try. Ha!!! And I do not really have that much confidence. We also saw Mike Farrell from Mash fame there. Afterwards we had Sushi at our favorite Sushi place which also happens to be in our neighborhood. They have a phenomenal sweet potato tempura roll. My God its delicious. Then we took a leisurely stroll home and hung out for a while before we went for our tennis lesson and had some coffee at Starbucks and browsed the Barnes and Nobles next door. Our tennis class was not as big as last nights and I am getting better at it. Niel is great! I am happy to say that I experience my first soreness from class and had to rub some Icey-Hot to relieve the muscle pain. Below are my gifts from Niel. He is thoughtful. He got all nostalgia gifts. The black Hello Kitty (named Chocolate) mirror is because it reminded him and me of my family cat Elmo. Poor old kitty. Niel pronounces Chocolate with a French accent. Not sure if its accurate but still very cute. And the Care Bear stuff because I loved the Care Bears growing up and still do. And the reindeer key chain because I loved the holiday cartoons.

Thank you to everyone who sent us Happy ANIversary wishes! Niel will be camping this weekend. I will miss him but am happy he will be having fun roasting a turkey on an open fire. Some people don't get what its like being away from your other half but I think most people do.

Below is my GIFTY bounty from the talented Shelagh! I got some cool Canadian crayons. I like how they have the maple leaf on the paper and body glitter and candy and a cool celestial tin, and a tea card and foot cream and a key chain that lights up and a cat shaped pez(she must have read about my family cat) dispenser, and stickers and red gloves:) This GIFTY was thought of by the COOL Leslie over at Rubbersol!

I have always wanted to see the ice rink at Rockafeller centre. my daughter dreams of skating there. She was into figure skating until a couple of years ago. I would love to take her to New York one day. Cheers-Shelagh
