I have been a bit busy lately to post but I am still cooking. And someday I will learn how to take fab photos. When I get a fab camera. But I wanted to share what two food products I am enjoying lately.

Ginormous cups of Nissin soup. I love the spiciness of it. I know it's basically salted, spicy, water but I am a salt fiend.

Chestnusts are my absolute favorite and I was so glad when my hubby came home with a couple of packages of Galil Roasted Chestnuts. So good!

I love corn fritters. So I was intrigued when I saw a healthy version from Veggie Patch at my supermarket. They could be microwaved or baked. I split the portion in half for Niel and my lunches. We both agreed they were the worst tasting corn and cheese combo we had ever tasted. The corn didn't taste like corn and where was the cheese? It was supposed to be real cheese! I've even tasted some fake cheese better than this. Blech. Very disappointing.

Temptation got the better of me yesterday and I purchased Dunkin Donuts Turkey, Cheese and Bacon pressed sandwich. And was it ever tasty. The bread was crispy and flavorful. The ingredients perfectly melted. My tummy was quite pleased.

I was at the pharmacy the other day when I looked down and see that Skittles has come out with a variety pack of chocolate Skittles. Caramel, pudding, etc.

Then to the right of me I noticed that there are cherry flavored M & M's.

Is the candy situation so bad that every once in a while there is a new product out there.

I don't mind trying new products but staples such as Skittles and M & M's I don't think should be messed with.

I've mentioned before how when Niel does the grocery shopping before he comes back with interesting items. Well at least to me. This time it was premade mini potato pancakes. I love mini foods. They are from McCain's and their proper name are Baby Cakes. How cute is that. Plus they're a Canadian company. Which I like.

They are a good bite sized side dish or can be used as appetizers for a party. Just put some sour cream on top with some dill and enjoy!

Niel recently brought home Buffalo Jerky from Trader Joes. We're always trying new things they offer. We're slaves to Trader Joes. Anyways the jerky was pretty tasty for Buffalo meat, which I'm not a fan of. Too gamey for me.

There is a new type of product available for pizza lovers, well only in Overland Park Kansas right now though. It's the pizza cone. Not it's not an ice cream on pizza. I thought that too. Then I read the article. It's pizza shaped like an ice cream cone. Basically wrapped pizza.

Don't forget if you want to participate in Weekend Cookbook Challenge I am hosting this round. Please email me your Nigella Lawson recipe by Feb. 21. Thanks.

God I can't believe I am mentioning this person's name cause I find him vile, but I accidentally purchased some Trump water. Yes folks Donald Trump shills water now. It is called Trump Ice.

I accidentally purchased it because I was in need, so I asked a vendor for water. I was expecting a bottle of Poland Spring, but I was handed Trump water instead. It's not any better or worse then what I have tasted already.

McDonald's is now promoting Shrek the Third with green straws, instead of their normal white ones. When I opened the straw for a second I just thought they ordered the incorrect color. Then I saw that McDonald's was also selling Shrek family dolls and Niel noticed they offer a green milkshake with chocolate in it as well. Plus they are selling little glasses with what else Shrek and the rest of the characters. Remember those little glasses? Haven't seen them in a while. McDonald's is really going all out with publicity for the movie.

The night before work I normally iron our clothes while watching television. And I prefer starch over water. Although I don't like the aerosol cans very much, I find water leaves marks. Then the other day I was at the pharmacy picking up something else in the detergent aisle when I noticed starch now comes in non aerosol(spray) bottles. I brought it to test it out and it worked great. You bet I am going to use this kind of bottle from now on to starch clothes. I know there are some Eco-friendly starches out there which I'll switch over to someday but for now this is good. Here is a link to make your own Eco-friendly cleaning products.
