Hope everybody had a good weekend. Happy Thanksgiving also to my Canadian bloggy friends. Niel went camping for most of the weekend and so I did stuff on my own. I think its good he still does. It gets him to hang out with people he normally doesn't much. Before he left Friday night Niel had ordered dinner for us. That was nice:) I did some cleaning and went to the post office and did grocery shopping the rest of the time. I also caught up on some TV shows we don't watch together. Sunday morning Niel returned home. Yay! We watched some tv together and then went to lunch, went for a walk, ran two quick errands and came home. I am at work today. But I get other holidays off that most don't so it evens out I guess.

Two yummy Indian foods I want to recommend and a spread I found at Trader Joe's.

The first is Patak's hot mango chutney. This stuff is super tasty but also super, super hot. By the time I finish the jar I think it will go bad because of the small amounts I snack on.

The second is Raja Foods Aloo Mater (potato and green pea curry). All you do is pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and you have something yummy in your tummy.

The third items is Trader Joe's Eggplant and Garlic spread. Holy moly is this a good spread!

For the past week I've been seeing commercials for Cici's pizza. But there isn't one near me. Is one opening near me? Why do these companies torture me with commercials of places I possibly will never try. Anyone ate at a Cici's?

We have a Cici's about 10 minutes from the house. We can go there when you guys come down for a visit. The food is ok. They have a pretty good salad bar. And they have interesting pizzas you don't see everyday. Like bbq chicken pizza, ham and cheese, hawaiian, and then you're regular kinds like white pizza, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions etc.

I feel the same way about commercials for Sonic. Some of their food and especially their drinks look so good. But we don't have any near us.

I wonder why Trader Joe's just doesn't open a store without the alcohol in it Jess. The one in the city has a store for their wines but next door. I think you confirmed what Niel thought about Cici's. The food is just ok.

So its sort of like those chain pizza places Mike? Yeah I want to try a Sonic as well. Sigh.

Actually Cici's is probably a step down from the chains like Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. It's like $6.00 all you can eat, so I guess you get what you pay for :-)

LOL!

Seriously when do you want us down there. LOL!

Yeah, we used to go to Cici's for lunch when co-workers and I just didn't want to spend too much. It's alright for a once in a while place. I'd try Sonic first if I were you. At least there you know it's fast food. The drinks are really good!
