The sunny weather was such a surprise this past weekend after feeling like Autumn for a few weeks. Weekend was very relaxing. I stumbled upon a fancy shmancy supermarket on the Upper East Side before an appointment for some freelance work. The supermarket had incredible variety. But a 12 ounce bag of popcorn for $9.99. I don't think so. The rest of the weekend Niel and I ran some errands, lounged, visited my parents, cleaned, ate some good food. Home made and dined out. Home made food I made sanwhiches, Moussaka, veggie gratin, and cold pesto pasta salad. Out we ate at Chili's and Arby's. Chili's because I thought they were serving the fried mac and cheese I had seen advertised on TV. But nope it is only being offered at TJI Friday's, as our Chili's waitress told me dryly. LOL. Niel says I'm tempting fate by eating the fried mac and cheese. He's right but it looks so good. Decorated the apartment for Fall too. I know Fall is technically not till Saturday, but we have out of the house plans for that day. Niel also decorated for Fall by putting Mets stuff all over the living room. He wants to be a part of the Bloggy Parade of Homes for Autumn/Halloween edition. Heh heh. Two movies I would recommend are Zathura and Dave. I am so pissed Toby didn't win Rock Star Supernova. So pissed infact I left the room when he was eliminated.
The dumb asses, I mean UN is meeting this week so NYC is going to be an even more crowded. I really liked the music of Queen so I was sad to read that some idiots forced a concert in Freddy Mercury's memory to be cancelled.

Hi! Sounds like a great weekend. I for some reason can't post a comment from home so I am using a public PC here at work. I want to try that macaroni and cheese too! I saw it advertised while we were at the beach. I am ready for fall!

Oh I don't want you to get in trouble at work. If you could email me from home you can do that anytime you want to comment or say hi:) I emailed you this too.

EW! My daughter and I are hating the new stuff featured by Chili's, TGI's & Applebee's - it all looks so different. I love green beans, but I'd rather they weren't deep fried... Can't wait to see your bloggy parade pictures! :)

Jess-yeah for some reason it was. I usually like my weekends to be a little more fuller. I want to take advantage of the two free days I have by actually doing and seeing stuff but the idea of the past weekend seemed nice. I am sure you are eating very healthy and your idea of trying just a little bit of it would be ok:) Yes Dr. Ani says so. LOL!

Linda Rae-If we are out by the Long Island portion of New York and not in a hurry there are only generic chains available. I prefer Dave's BBQ. I don't normally go to the other chains but the Fried Mac and Cheese sounded awesome. If we are in a hurry Checkers, Taco Bell or McD's it is. Hope Shannon does the Halloween Fall edition of Bloggy Parade of homes soon. But you can see my the ones from the past few weeks in my archives.

Sounds like I need to make a trip to Maspeth so I can ransack your living room and rid it of all the Mets stuff ;-).
