Oh Zatar how I love thee. So flavorful and yummy! Zatar is a wonderful herb mixture used in dips, marinades and eaten on pita with some olive oil just makes me swoon. My mother would take me grocery shopping with her at Middle Eastern markets looking for some connection to the food she was accustomed to growing up. I don't know what possessed me to try Zatar on pita bread but every since that fuzzy day I fell for it.

Zatar is a combination of a variety of spices and there are several different versions but Zatar cannot exist without one key ingredient Sumac a lemony herb found in Mediterranean countries. So if you happen to find Zatar try marinating chicken with it and olive oil for a meal, it will make you swoon as well.

Yeah sort of. What about in the city? Maybe there are a few there?
