Some time ago when my parents were over, my mom and I were watching The Food Network. It was a special about chocolates. One of the chocolate stores featured was Mariebelle's. My mom thought it was clever of them to put pictures on their chocolates. So when Mother's Day rolled around I was ready to order her some. Then I noticed they were located right in Manhattan, in the neighborhood of Soho. A very cool neighborhood to explore if you've never been. It is a small store and I easily walked right by it. But inside I felt like I was in some Parisian chocolate shop. There were so many pretty packages and lots of lovely chocolate to explore. I even got a sample of some Aztec hot chocolate. Super yum. It didn't make my mouth dry like most sweets do. I picked up some chocolate for my mom and on the way back stopped at the Godiva chocolate shop for my mother in law. Godiva are her favorites. But we don't buy anything sweet for her very often, because my MIL is a diabetic. My mom was pretty happy I remembered the chocolates we saw on TV. I would say they had a sweet Mother's Day.

The hot chocolate is really good. I'd also like to try their teas sometime.
