The weather in NYC has once again turned chilly. Perfect for soups and stews. Or as Rachael Ray calls them "Stoup." I have been making a lot of hearty tummy warming dishes lately. First it was chili, then it was Armenian Dumpling Soup(Manti), then it was Asian Dumpling Soup, and most recently it was Meatball Soup or also known as Wedding Soup. Niel and I first ate Meatball Soup at our friend Maria's house. She used the Rachael Ray recipe but made a few revisions. Maria used greek cheese and Italian seasonings instead of Parmesan and breadcrumbs. My mom makes something similar to Meatball Soup but with a tomatoe base and just rice in the meatballs. I think next in line is going to be Chicken pot pie and Pasta e Fagoli.
