The world can be a frustrating place sometimes. People constantly at odds with one another, in one way or another. Trying to be in control, trying to be heard so badly that we can’t or don’t want to hear each other. So wrapped up in our struggle that we can’t or don’t want to see the struggle of others. Inside we are all pretty much the same and the sooner we learn that the sooner things might start to be better.

Jeopardy is not as interesting as it used to be. Niel & I miss seeing Ken Jennings.

I saw two homeless people over the weekend and it really really disturbed me. It disturbed me because they were old. No one should be old and not have security. The first one is a lady I see in my neighborhood. At first I thought she was just looking for cans, and then I realized she is homeless. I saw her on Thursday after work. I went into a store and bought some food to give her, but by the time I left the store she was gone. The next one I saw was a man sitting at the bottom of my mother in laws house on Saturday night. There wasn't any food in the house for me to give him. I felt so helpless.

I know I don't have babies, but I want all of these shoes. Yes I said all. I am shamelessly asking for them. I think they are so freaking cute although expensive. Thank you Laura for putting this new obsession in my brain;)

Niel purchased me the new Ashlee Simpson CD. I have been watching her show and really like her singing voice.

I know you were talking about Ashlee, but have you ever noticed that on that Newlyweds show that Jessica and Ashlee's dad seems gay?

Not really. Maybe a bit metrosexulis? Did I spell that right?

I hope the tide changes to Giao. I am so afraid to trust any of those organizations though.

He seems way to into the type of music his daughters make for a man his age. And please don't associate me with that purchase, I've got to keep up my "street cred."

Yeah I think he's the slightly manlier version of a pageant mom. On the last show, they went down to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. Day 1 they road ATV's, day 2 golf day 3 deep sea fishing. Talk about a great 3 days! Niel next year for our wacky golf excursion, we're going to Cabo!!!! I don't think they have any nuclear power plants there ;-)

Ani, I know what you mean about the homeless. My husband went to school in Newark and when I first started dating him I would see them all the time and feel so bad that I couldn't do anything. But sometimes we would try to give them food and they wouldn't accept it...they wanted money, that would really piss me off.

Yeah I guess I have a category about who I feel really bad for. I would understand the money thing, some people are mean though and put bad things in the food they give to the homeless, so I would understand them wanting money instead.

Seeing homeless people of all ages makes me wonder how they got there and how close I, or anyone else I know, actually are to that same position. Living in Victoria, with the mild climate, I see homeless people all year long, quite a bit. The government is cracking down on where they are allowed to loiter, where they can sleep, where they can eat, where they can find affordable housing, or help finding work... it's frustrating and very sad.

btw, my son was given those robeez and they look amazingly comfortable - and good for beginner walkers. Too bad they don't make them for adults - beginner walkers or not.

btw again... thanks for visiting my site.

Wow Michele you do a lot and that is wonderful. I guess who I am really mad at is the gov't who does nothing but try to hide the problem. I know people should be responsible for themselves, but what is wrong with helping people? I can't feel comfortable in my home with all that my husband and I have been blessed with and not still wonder why doesn't so and so have as much?

Ada New York city tries to hide the problem as well. I mean where are these people supposed to go?

Yes I wish those shoes were also made for adults.

And thanks for visiting my site.
