A few times a year we treat ourselves to the best BBQ in NYC, and I've tried all the other restaurants but Fette Sau in Willamsburg is by far the best. Their rub is a combination of savory and sweet. It is well spread and juicy. So take a look at this feast below and run to get yourself some Fette Sau.

I thought Eat This:1,000 Things to Eat Before You Diet was a strange subtitle for a book. Because to me the title meant suggestions for naughty dishes full of fat and cholesterol. Eat This turned out to be a guide book on regional foods, from local fruit to cuisine, both healthy and non healthy. It is a good book to have if you are going on vacation and you want to see what the specialty of the area is. Or if you have heard about a particular food and don't know how to order it, the book gives that tip also. Eat This also is party history book because it goes into detail on how certain foods were cultivated and recipes created. A interesting read. Thanks hon.

I wanted to recommend a book I recently read called Sound Bites by Alex Kapranos. He's the lead singer of Franz Ferdinand. Before Franz Ferdinand made it big in music, Kapranos was a chef. And when the group began to tour Kapranos had a little notebook where he wrote down reviews of all the restaurants he ate in around the world. Makes sense being a former chef and all. This became Sound Bites. The book isn't very long and is an easy read. A perfect combo of food and music. Which I enjoy. Thanks again Niel!
