The weekend couldn¹t have come quicker. Work is going to get much busier. Hopefully this will mean more money money money.

The weekend was nice. We planned for one thing but that did not work out again but we still had fun. For a few years now Niel and I have been trying to go hot air ballooning. But the weather always deters that plan. Niel even found an inexpensive way. The Philadelphia zoo offers it at a very affordable price, but of course the weather was going to be crappy in the afternoon so they didn't fly. But Niel likes the historical aspect of the town so we did a bit of site seeing. So it wasn't a total waste. And honestly I was with him and he can make anything fun. He was playing tour guide. We had been to Philly when we were dating so it was nice to be back. We had seen a lot of the city back then so we did some things we hadn't before. We went to Christ Church, saw an archaeological dig, took a tour of Betsy Ross's house and ate cheese steak at Geno's and Pat's. One thing we did see again was the Liberty Bell. The city had now built a large building over it and you had to go through security to see it. A lot of things had changed about the city since 9-11. Of course we'll try again to go ballooning. The rest of the weekend was spent running errands, and cleaning. Tomorrow is the deadline for Weekend Cook Book Challenge 17: cornmeal. I'll be posting mine tomorrow and then the round up on Wednesday.

Next time you head Philly-ward, drop me a line...I live 10 minutes from Philly - we can meet you for cheesesteaks! :)

I hope you get to go ballooning soon. Did you take pictures in Philly?

I have an entry for the challenge, but for the life of me I can't find your e-mail address anywhere...am I just blind and tired (I was up at 4:30 to go to the bakery this morning...). Anyways, here's the link to my entry (http://cupcakepunk.blogspot.com/2007/06/anarchy-burger-v-20.html) and I hope I'm not too late to turn it in!

Sounds like a very nice weekend. I'm honestly split on which I like better ... quiet weekends at home or going out of town. Haven't had Philly Cheesesteak in years. You're making me way hungry t'day.
