I remember I loved wrestling ever since I was a little girl. My brother and I would watch together. I then thought it was all real. I didn't really understand what was expected of a wrestler. I don't really know if the wrestlers themselves really do either. That love of wrestling continues till now for me though. I was happy to find out that Niel also enjoyed watching it. Something we share. Every Monday night we watch Raw. It is the best of the three shows.

There are a lot of wrestlers who always have to win, who just do it for the show and glory. Then there are the wrestlers who stay under the radar, who perform night after night for the fans and because they love that business. They can't think of another job. It gets in their blood young. One of those wrestlers was Chris Benoit.

Chris Benoit and his family were found dead Monday in their Atlanta home. When Niel and I heard late Monday night we were in shock. Chris was so hardworking, helping younger wrestlers, quiet, and did what was expected of him. We thought it had to be carbon monoxide poisoning or a robbery gone bad, that took them. I thought to myself at least he will be with Eddie now.

Then more information started to pour in. And our hearts sank. How could this have happened. He was so young. Just turned forty. He was a father of three. What made him snap. What he did to his youngest and his wife we can never understand. I still haven't fully digested it all. Neither of us have. What made him do it. What happens to these giants, larger then life men and women when they go into that business.

Our condolences go out to his remaining family members.

It's a really tragic story. I didn't know who he was but I feel horrible for his and her remaining family. From what I hear, he was messed up by steroids. I think this is really going to shake up the whole wrestling world as far as steroid abuse awareness.

I'm still stunned because he wasn't one that was in the headlines for the wrong reasons. I don't recall stories of him getting suspended from shows or getting arrested for fights or drinking.

He never struck me as a steroid user. Other wrestlers on the shows? Yeah..I can see steroids, especially when they stop. But Benoit always just looked like a normal guy who worked out a lot.

a lot of people are now thinking he was set up aka murdered since only 1 of his children died... either way it is so sad... the news said he was on roids and that is what caused it... i just can't see him killing his son...

It's just so sad. Back in my country a few years ago, a father snapped and committed suicide. He couldn't bare to leave his favourite son behind so he killed him too before jumping off the block.
