Foodie Chickie

Shannon had the neat idea to host the bloggy parade of homes 2006. I really like this idea because I am curious as how other people live and I peek into houses if I see the shades are open. Anyway the way bloggy parade of homes 2006 works is you post pics of your home in stages each Friday. Today is the first week and it's going to be what our foyers, porches, front of our houses looks like. Below is what my front door and hallway looks like. I live in a apartment house in Queens. One of the five boroughs that make up New York city. Queens is the largest of the five boroughs and is the one spot that the most languages spoken on earth are spoken. Niel prefers an apartment house to an apartment building. We live on the top floor and its pretty spacious. The floors are real wood. We didnt paint over any of the colors. There is an AC in every room but the living/dining room because it was too big of space to keep cool so now it's just a nook. I like it.

This is my front door. The wreathe alternates depending on the season.


This is what you see when you walk in. The closet doors. We have two in the entryway and there are flowers painted on them. We kept them. Too lazy to paint over and they were pretty.


What I did instead of paint was to hang up bits and bobs on the walls. A sun ornament, a little flower box, and an evil eye protector with a cross.
Niel wanted to be part of the photo also.
