Finally I found bread that holds the eggs nicely in tact for my bird in a hole. A nice hearty European bread. Melt some cheese on top of the egg and buttered toasted bread and two turkey sausages on the side and I have a happy breakfast.
I had *never* heard of doing that until I watched "How to Boil Water" with Tyler Florence. I've always heard it called a "frog-in-the-hole," but I don't know why. :) That looks absolutely delicious. Lucas would love one, I bet! So what kind of bread did you use?
They're so easy to make Jess. Niel and I use the word breakkie also. Love the Australian lingo.
Yes it is also called Frog in a hole. It's easy for little hands to eat as well. Ooops forgot to mention I purchased the bread at a European market. They're a little heartier than the American Wonder type bread.

Yummy! Love these but haven't made them in a while.
That looks good. Seriously, Ani, if I lived close to you, I'd be there for every meal! :P
