My coworker Elaine knows how much I enjoy Indian food. So when she was out grocery shopping she purchased for me Super Kohinoor. It is a line of easy curries from Satnam. Just boil a small pot of water and add the aluminum bag of Super Kohinoor(they have many different curries to choose from) and in five minutes a delicious curry meal. We enjoyed ours with mini pita breads. So far I have only tried the Bengal Gram Flour Dumplings with Spinach Yoghurt Sauce. But it was so good. Niel and I both liked it very much and he isn't a big spinach fan. We couldn't taste the spinach much. The dominant flavors were curry and cumin. I can't wait to try the rest of their products.

I would love to get an Indian persons take on these meals. To me this seems like the Indian version of Chef Boy Ardee ravioli in a can. Sure Chef Boy Ardee tastes good, but it's not exactly authentic Italian food.
Have you had these same meals in an Indian restaurant? If so, how do they compare?
I've only tried two different brands of these packaged Indian meals. And this one was very good. It was like having an Indian restaurant in our own houme. I've also made Indian food from scratch and it was as good. Packaged foods have gotten a lot better and this is nothing like chef boyardee.
I was suprised that something so easy was good Jess. I sometimes make Indian at home but this is a nice alternative. I hope you find a good Indian restaurant! Let me know how your Indian cooking attempts go!
Hi Amanda! It depends on what you eat. Most menus will let you know of the spice contact. I would recommend Tandori first because it is not as spicy. It's just a menthod of cooking. Good luck! Let me know.
I'd be happy to mail you some Shelagh.
