Hope everyone had a good weekend. I did. Besides our usual chores we managed to have fun. Friday night we tried a new Vietnamese restaurant called Little Saigon, the next town over. I liked my meal a lot. Niel liked his appetizer. Afterwards Niel drove around and pointed out neat Halloween decorations he thought I would enjoy. Saturday we went into the city to watch Serenity. We waited so long to see the movie there were only limited theaters left. But we saw it at the 14th street theater which is a neat part of the city. The film was very good! I recommend it for fans of the short lived TV show and for new comers. If you want to watch a well written, acted, thought provoking, funny, but a bit sad, action adventure flick than Serenity is for you. I hope the show can live on through the movies. Before the film we ate burgers at The New York Burger Company. Niel had seen it and had wanted to try it. While walking back to the train I took some pics of the Autumn goodness at the Farmers Market. We then took the train back into Brooklyn where we had parked and stumbled upon an organic supermarket called Sunac and two restaurants we want to try. The organic supermarket will be easier to get to than going into the city or the island if we want any organic products. During one of our errands Niel thought it would be funny to dress me in a coat he thinks I should get. I don't look ghettofabulous. Sunday we went to visit my parents. For dinner my mom made mussels with basil rice, roast chicken with little red potatoes, a scallion and romaine salad, eggplant dip and flan and Irish coffee for dessert. All very good as usual. I hope the people who are being affected by Hurricane Wilma will be alright. I still can't get over the amount of deaths from the earthquake a few weeks back in Pakistan and parts of India and Kashmir. I hope they can recover. Pictures here.

That Manhattan burger place, is that the place that has all the burgers named after famous people? Like you can ask for the Abe Vagota and it's like a hamburger topped with marinara sauce abd provolone cheese? If this is indeed that place I don't recommend trying the "Ron Jeremy" or the "Louie Anderson". Trust me on that one.

Oh and is it like $13.50 for a burger and fries there?

No it's the one where the burgers are named after cities. And it's like 23.00 for two peopel to have burger and fries. It's madness!!! Seeing a movie in Manhattan has never seemed like such a bargain!!!

No I never heard of that particular burger place Mike. Hmmmm. What is the name of the place? Wait are you joking with me? A place named after Ron Jeremy! Heh heh.

Oh gosh I love Thai food too! You are so lucky! I do hope you get to try Vietnamese food and enjoy it. Honestly most of the dishes are similar because of the relative closeness. http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/middle_east_and_asia/asia_pol00.jpg. Niel was right.

Hey how did I miss you there Niel. Yes seeing a movie in Manhattan was a bargain compared to the Niel. I'm worthy pricey dates every once in a while. LOL.

Well I was joking about the Ron Jeremy burger, but there is some new chain burger place I heard about that has celebrity burgers inspired by famous people.

They have a chain down here called 5 Guys that makes awesome burgers and fries. And compared to places like Fudruckers that charge like $8.00 for a burger, they are pretty reasonable. It's like $5.00 for a burger there, and they give you two meat patties on every burger. And their fries are cooked in peanut oil, so they are really tasty. CARBS RULE!!!!

Got to find the one up here you mentioned. And there can never be enough burger places.

How much is a movie there? Around here they're about 7-8 dollars.
Now I'm craving a hamburger!
