Sometimes when there is extra to spare it is nice just to order out. Fortunately we have a good variety of restaurants and take out places in our neighborhood. Polish, Irish, Indian, Spanish, Mexican, Japanese, Italian and Chinese. Thankfully most of the places also have good food. Niel and I both had really good Chinese take out restaurants in our old neighborhoods and are happy to have one just as good down the block from us. I especially enjoy Crab Rangoon and Egg Drop Soup from our new Chinese restaurant. What is your favorite take out?

Gosh that sounds too good! I guess those are some of the benefits of big cities. Good luck finding new foodie places in your new home! I guess that is some of the fun?
in our neighborhood we can only have pizza delivered. we do order out a lot (for us to pick up). For Chinese I like the triple delight(shrimp, chicken and beef with veggies), Mexican it is tacos al carbon(soft tacos with steak beans and rice). Those are the two favorites!
mmm...I'm hungry :)
Those soft tacos sound delicious!
We don't have a lot of takeout places here other than Chinese and sub places, but we do have a pretty good variety of sit down restaurants. Rachel and I have both been on a Thai food kick lately. I had this dish at the Thai place last week that was awesome. It was chicken and beef marinated in garlic sauce served with rice and steamed brocolli.
So glad you like the Thai place and one opened up near you. Who ever thought. How far is it from your new place? Niel and I love Thai food. That is the only place a bit far from us that we have to drive to. Heh heh. So far we have tried Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, Veitnamese, Thai. We haven't tried Indonesian or Philipino yet. Although our Indian place now serves Indonesian so maybe the next time we go there. And I think I found a Philipino place in Elmhurst. So much food to try!
The Thai place is down near the big mall, so it's pretty close to the townhouse. From the new house it's probably about 15-20 minute drive. Not too bad.
I've eaten Malasian and Philippino food before. A couple of my co-workers at my old job were born there, so I ate there with them a few times. I remember the Malasian food having a lot of fruits in it. And the Philippino food was pretty spicy. I really like the Philippino spare ribs. I think they are called batu batu.
Holy Crap Jess the variety you have there. It all sounds soooo good!!!
Glad the Thai places is not too far away Mike. Yeah Niel's Malasian meal had a Mango in it. Mmm spicy can't wait to try Phillipino. One of my requirements for a good meal, spicy or a bit of salt, or cheesy. Heh heh.
We never get anything delivered but have some good take out: thai, chinese, japanese, singaporean, egyptian.
Yum yum yum yum yum!
We love Chinese or Korean.....Korean BBQ is the BEST!!!!
