The most recent study guide I am reading for the party planning certificate I am studying for has to do with knowing the wedding traditions of different cultures. There are so many interesting things. For instance we throw rice at weddings because in Italy they used to throw wheat, bread and salt for fertility and over the years it changed to rice. Although now rice is banned at most places of worship because it is dangerous if birds consumed them.
I got to use the griddle Niel bought for me for Christmas. It worked well. I used it to grill eggplants. I should have used my mandolin to cut the eggplants because I cut them too thick with the knife.
