I read this article on Yahoo on the top foods people love to hate. I was surprised at the list really.

I guess allergies could be a concern with some. But tomatoes and peppers??

Yahoo has a list of the world's wierdest burgers. I'd try them. They don't sound so strange to me.

Who doesn't like food on a stick? Can't think of anyone. Whether it is fruit, appetizers, or shish-k-bob. It's all good. Well I thought all food on a stick would be good. Until I ate the below concoction. It was God awful. What pray tell you may ask is that?
Well I was by St. Mark's Place one afternoon when I passed by a little shop which advertised various goodies on a stick. There was shumai, tofu, beef, fish balls, and pork. Yummy I thought to myself. A little snack. The problem was the place cooks all of it in one pot. The taste is like socks left in a locker room. It was one big sweaty ball of blech. It would have tasted fine if all the pieces were cooked separately. Hopefully they're drinks are better.

I've heard people coating their chicken with bread crumbs and non sweet corn flakes. So when I saw the recipe for
Cheez It Chicken. I knew I had to try it.

The only thing different I did was I baked it instead of frying it. Otherwise pretty simple and tasty. The oil in the recipe is obviously if you go the frying method. It smelled so good baking.

2 1/4 lbs. chicken tenders
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. kosher salt
6-7 cups Cheez-It crackers
4 eggs
canola oil

Serves 2-4 for dinner, or more as an appetizer

Marinate chicken in buttermilk. Dip chicken in flour, then in egg. Coat with Cheez-It crumbs. Drop into 350 degree F oil for a few minutes. If your chicken fingers are really thick, finish in a 400 degree oven for 5-7 minutes

I love McDonald's Snack Wrap. Crispy with Ranch dressing. Good stuff. I was told Wendy's has their own version. I had to try it. Also very tasty. Though not assembled as well. I bet I can make it at home though.

And now apparently McDonald's is testing out a Big Mac Snack Wrap. Woot.

Have you heard of cupcake sleeves?. It's sleeves for your cupcake. Instead of a standard liner. A cupcake can now be a bit more dressier. Your cupcake can be made to look like sushi, burgers, bunnies and popcorn. So if you're party has a theme your cupcakes can now match!

I almost never have left over bread. I eat it up too quickly. But in this day of trying to be more economical I thought this article in the San Francisco chronicle about ideas for left over bread was quite handy.

Saw these odd ice creamed flavored candies at my local Walgreens. In theory they would probably taste good but I have a feeling probably too sweet.

Recently tried Betty Crocker's Warm Delights(Fudge Brownie). They're pretty much a microwavable dessert. If you are hankering for something sweet and don't want to bake an entire cake or cupcakes then it's not a terrible option to have in stock.

I was sent a copy of Slow & Easy: Fast-Fix Recipes for Your Electric Slow Cooker by Natalie Haughton and am I ever excited about making the recipes in it. Particularly these days where I just want to have the meal made quick. But what is more perfect than having the meal already cooked when you get home. And the recipes look really tasty. Not just stews and roasts. Which are delicious but Slow and Easy also offers a more variety of recipes than one would find with slow cooker cooking. Such as French Onion Soup, Cheese Fondue Stuffed Bread, Thai-Style Beef with Peanut Sauce and Curried Cauliflower with Potatoes and Peas. Check back in for my review of the previously mentioned recipes and others.
