Happy Chinese New Year.

Though many people are happy the year of the Rat is over and the year of the Ox has begun. Personally for me the year of the Rat was awesome.

That being said I don't have anything against Ox's.

But if you are planning to celebrate by going to your local Chinatown may I suggest reading this article on what to order when eating Dim Sum. I wish I had something like this the last time I went. Let's just say the husband did not have a good time.

Does this seem a bit over board? Making a New York Cheesecake flavored Hershey's Kisses? It could be that I had a bad experience with a chocolate cheese cake many years ago.

While grocery shopping I found a mix for Dr. Oetker's Hot Rum and Butter cake. I was intrigued. I had never hear of Dr. Oetker's before. But apparently it is a very old company. Headquarters are in Germany and the North American division of it is in Canada. They also have frozen food, organic products and preserves.

It was the best smelling cake and so light and fluffy. I highly recommend it.

I was surprised to see when our pizza arrived that our local parlor now has advertising on his boxes.

Guess everyone is trying to earn extra money now a days.

I decided to purchase pre-made turkey meatballs because I was either too lazy or busy or tired to make my own. Well I will have to rethink anything pre-made next time. The box advertised 12 but inside were only 11. Hrumph.
