The husband came home with a small bag of a new flavor of Combos. Combos with Salsa. The crust is made from corn chip and the filling of course is salsa. Holy cow was it a tasty snack. Must find some more.

Another Combos flavor I would love to find is the bacon, egg and cheese one.

When Paris and Scotland come to mind the unique foods one can only think of are snails and Haggis. However Andrew Zimmern host of the Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods proves there are a whole lot more strange cuisine available in Paris, Scotland and the entire world.

Zimmern finds and enjoys Seaweed Paste in Wales and Bulls testicles in Spain. Concept is similar as the food/travel shows of Anthony Bourdain and Zane Lamprey. Really or any of the food/travel shows on the Food Network and Travel Channel. But Zimmern has much more gusto about the bizarre foods he encounters.

Chili is something I make a lot during the winter since it so warm and comforting. While grocery shopping I spotted a packet of Wick Fowler's Chili Mix. It is pretty much a mix of different spices with instructions on when to put what spices first. It was one of the most tastiest Chili's I have ever tasted. My belly is happy.

On Sunday October 26 the family and I will be walking in Memory Walk 2008 in tribute to my husband's late grandfather. Any donations you can provide to help find a cure for Alzheimers would be greatly appreciated.

My mother in law gave us an alternative to butter and margarine called Olivio. She did so because the name of the product is similar to my daughter's.

I found it a bit too margarine tasting and though I wouldn't use it to butter toast or to bake with, I do use it while cooking.

The upcoming elections are on everyones minds. It is an exciting time in American history if not world history. So much so that food establishments are getting in on the action. 7-11 has a line of cups with the candidates names on them and Zaros has made cookies with the candidates faces on them. Thanks to the hubby for the tip.
