Hummus was a staple in my parents house growing up. My mom would make it from scratch. It's pretty easy to make Hummus from scratch. A can of chickpeas drained, some olive oil, lemon juice, Tahini, lots of garlic. Hummus is now a staple in my home. Niel and I both enjoy it. And I make it from scratch too. But there are those times when I get curious about trying the premade Hummus's on the market. One brand I would recommend is Tribe. We purchased the regular Hummus but they have a variety of different flavors. Such as the roasted red pepper Hummus. And for premade Hummus, Tribe is pretty good. I like mine garlicky and there's is a bit more lemony but still worth trying. A tasty and healthy snack.

Would you believe I've never eaten hummus? It's a spread, right? I can think of a couple of places where I might find some good hummus here. I'll have to try it now.

Glad you like it Jess and good like finding a brand you like in CO. I mess up some things that look easy to make too. Gotta keep trying.

It's a Middle Eastern chick pea dip/spread Yvett. So yummy. Good luck with your search.

The first time Ani made hummus at our place, was the first tiem we had both families over for dinner (It was easter 02) and one of my friends and famous humus lover Dave was hanging out with us. The chopper we used had these plastic blades and they broke in the chick peas.

We realized it too late. Dave and I ate a lot of hummus that we knew had plastic shards in it. It was good, and we were able to pick out most of the palstic before guests came over the next day.

That tribe brand of hummus taht we bought (and this post is about) is fantastc! nice and creamy perfect for dipping on chips!

Thanks honey. See people keep trying and don't use any chopper with plastic blades. :)

T loves hummus. I have a recipe that looks tasty so I told him I would make it sometime. He likes it on bagels.
You got a jury summons too? I feel for you. I just found out that I have to go tomorrow.

Good luck with the Hummus and Jury Duty Jessica!

Really how big of a jar do they sell hummus in? They last a pretty long time. I can send you some if you like. I find smaller jars here.
